English for Maritime Cadets

Overview:

Communication becomes crucial parts in our activities whether in or jobs or in our daily activities, some of us may confuse on how to find a good place to practice and to learn English which has Course Syllabus in-line with the needs (particularly in Maritime). The United Skills (We are formed by Skilled Persons) sees it and tries to fill this gap by providing a well-tested English Training Program specifically address to the certain purposes of students (ESP) to which commonly known as Interactive Methods.

Taruna kelautan (Maritime Cadets).

Outcomes:  

1. Meningkatkan level English grammar and structure dari siswa sebesar 70%. Terlihat saat melakukan English Test seperti:  TOEFL, TOEIC, Marlin Test, dll.

2. Meningkatkan level  English text pronunciation siswa sebesar 75%.

3. Siswa memahami pengetahuan lebih luas di bidang Maritime setidaknya 75% dari sebelumnya.

4. Siswa mampu meningkatkan 4(empat) keterampilan bahasa Inggris yaitu: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

Schedule and Cost:

1.   Total sesi= 24 sesi, dan 1½ jam per sesi.

2.   Lokasi Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar (KBM)= Bertempat di User.

3.   Total peserta= 10 orang, Biaya kursus Rp. 3.200.000,- per peserta.

  Total peserta= 15 orang, Biaya kursus Rp. 2.143.000,- per peserta.

4.   Biaya pendaftaran= Rp. 100.000,- per peserta.

5.   Setiap peserta sudah mendapat: Certification, Course module, Audio listening

  (MP3 formats), dan souvenir of Institution.

6.   Aktifitas “Pre-Test” dan “Post-Test” sudah termasuk.

7.   “Kontra Prestasi” and “Facilities fee” akan didiskusikan sebelum program

  pelatihan di adopsi.

Note: User outside “JaBoDeTaBek” area will be charged for transportation and accommodation.

English Conversation for Seafarers:
Chapter 1:  The Ships: Types and Parts	Parts of the Ship and Terminology.
Chapter 2:  People on board and Duties	Shipboard Hierarchy. Crews duties.
Chapter 3:  Ship movements	Cast off orders. Collusion Regulations (COLREGs).
Chapter 4:  Navigating Ships:                        Position and Communication	Nautical Charts. Navigational notices.
Chapter 5:  Cargo Handling                        Position and Communication	Cargo care and Manifest. Radio about cargo.
Chapter 6:  Emergencies:                        Respond and Report	Type of emergency situation. Radio communication.
